Council Members are physicians, scien tists, engineers, business managers, and, ultimately, end-users, who are paid consultants to our firm and for our clients. Our current platform of publicati ons and services include but are not limited to: brief telephone consultations with Council Members; domestic and international ad hoc and ongoing surveys o f Council Members; in-depth, confidential consulting projects; and regular sem inars in our home cities and at major industry conferences. Our platform will grow with our Councils and resources. General Description of Research Support Specialist: Research Support Specialists are responsible for assisting the execution of pr imary research deliverables to add value to Gerson Lehrman Group clients. Res earch Support Specialists gain a primary understanding of GLG’s business mode l through close coordination with members of the research team in meeting clie nt requests. Responsibilities include: • Assisting research team members with daily execution of time-sensitive research requests by understanding & translating client requests (from Englis h to Chinese), qualifying primary populations of topic experts, and facilitati ng the processes required to fulfill the project requests. • Responsible for peripheral client servicing functions, e.g., call sche duling • Quickly address, via email and/or telephone, GLG Council Member inquir ies regarding their consulting relationship with GLG, including issues relatin g to payment and technology tools (i.e., websites, online surveys, etc.) used by Council Members to communicate with GLG and with its clients. • Assist with limited level of new Council Member recruitment and applic ation processing for our highest priority client inquiries through e-mail and telephone marketing • Report to and consult with members of individual industry research pra ctices to carry out the above responsibilities Suggested Background: • Excellent communication skills, including demonstrated proficiency in oral, writing and presentation abilities in a business-focused setting using a variety of communication channels (telephone, e-mail, etc.) • Excellent verbal and writing skills in English • Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities effectively, while ens uring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail • Demonstrated fluency in using technology tools to improve effectivenes s and increase efficiency • A degree from a key national university Evaluation, Compensation and Benefits: Salary: Competitive base salary plus year-end performance-based discretionary bonus Vacation: 15 days and all government holidays Notes: Gerson Lehrman Group does not allow employees to trade stocks or any ot her security that may present a conflict of interest or appearance of conflict of interest.
